5 Books I’ve Read in 2020 (so far)

I’ve been trying to read at least one book a month. That is not going great, but I’m sharing my top 5 books I've read this year so far.

I’ve been trying to read at least one book a month. That is not going great, at all. But I have read more than last year so it’s a start. I’ll share my Top 5 books that I’ve read this year so far and I’ll rate them out of 5 based on how much I liked it and if it was an easy read or not. And I would love some recommendations for new books too, let me know in the comments!

Betsy Bosom Baby Book: A Girlfriend’s Guide to Using Essential Oils from Bellies.

I read this book in my first trimester with Ezra. I was getting a whole pregnancy guide together of my own. Just what I actually used and what I wanted to use in each trimester. I’ll be saving it for my next baby for sure! I’d give this book a 5/5. Super easy to read and super helpful for helping figure out oils and supplements while pregnant!

Girl, Wash Your Face

I read this book a couple of months ago and I really loved how motivating it is. She shares a lot of her personal experiences which I always love reading about. It’s applicable to almost anything. You don’t have to be trying to build a business or even be working. It’s great for personal growth. I would probably rate it a 4/5, it took me a while to open it once I bought it. Once I started it and got into it, it was an easy read.

The Joy of Missing Out

I’m in the middle of reading this one right now, but I love it. It’s so perfect for me in this season of figuring out our passions, motives and our priorities. She talks about being less busy. Actually prioritizing and focusing on what you want to do and not just doing everything. As of right now I’d give it a 4/5, again it’s taking me a while to get into it completely. But it’s good!

Sweet Magnolia’s

Yep, the adorable show on Netflix, Sweet Magnolia’s was a huge book series first. So after watching the show, I read the first novel. Now I’m on the second. And definitely plan on reading them all. They are the perfect camping or out on the patio read. 3/5 for sure. There is a little bit of explicit content, nothing crazier really than what is on the show. But just as a warning!

She Reads Truth Devotional – Mourning and Dancing

Not a novel or book, but it has been one of the greatest things I’ve read this year. It really helped for the weeks after we had lost Ezra. It just guides you through different stories of others who have lost someone. And through the bible in places where God really shows up for those mourning. How to do it, how to be there and what strength can really come from it all.

There you go. My top 5 books I’ve read this year so far!! I’ve got a stack of other books to read. On the top of that list is the new book from Jennie Lusko. Fight to Flourish. It’s definitely one of the books I’ll have in my Summer Must-Haves.
