Baby Boy’s Woodland Nursery

Decorating the nursery was the only thing keeping me sane in the last months of pregnancy. We went with a baby boy woodland nursery. Full with animals, mountains and wood accents. I picked navy blues and greys with hints of mint green. It turned out great. Super simple and perfect for the small space.

Baby Boy Woodland Nursery

Decorating the nursery was the only thing keeping me sane in the last months of pregnancy. We went with a baby boy woodland nursery. Full with animals, mountains and wood accents. I decorated his nursery to have meaning and to show him things that he needs to remember as he grows up. Color choices were navy blue and greys with hints of mint green because if you know me, those are my favorite colors and they worked perfectly for this theme. I think it turned out great. Super simple and perfect for the small space we have.

I’ve been super excited to share with you the nursery. I was so happy with how it turned out. We live close to the mountains and I just love the majestic feeling you get when you drive through them or simply just look at them. When you see mountains, they can mean so many different things. Enormous, intimidating, strong, are just some of the words used to describe them. I love that the bible speaks of mountains as obstacles that we face and how God can see us through them. “Faith can move mountains.” and speak to the mountain about how great your god is. It is my all time favorite, that feeling of hope and peace that comes with those thoughts is overwhelming. I chose to use mountains in my little one’s room so that it can represent that feeling of hope and peace. That he knows no matter what he faces in life God is bigger and will see him through.

I focused on strong animals like the bear and stag because they are strong. These pictures from @daffodilecreek with the bible verse within them was perfect. I want my son to be strong and courageous in everything he faces in his life. I want him to know that with his family and God on his side he can do anything. While I was pregnant, I really focused on Psalms 139, that God made him, fearfully and wonderfully, and for a purpose. I want him to know that he was made with purpose for a purpose, and to do great things, no matter how big or how small. The greatest part about the woodland theme is the sense of adventure it has, and that is my wish for our family. To spend quality time together adventuring and courageously navigating this life!

I’ve linked all the furniture in this post for you guys. If you see anything you like take a look. We had some wonderful people make some stuff for us – so those aren’t sold anywhere, like our quilt.
